RE:                  2012-2014 Executive Board, FEA-DA, NEA-RA, MSSU State Delegate Nominations

It is time once again to nominate candidates for the 2012-2014 Executive Board, FEA-DA (October 19-20, Orlando), NEA-RA (June 30 -July 5 Washington DC), and the State Delegate from MSSU for the NEA-RA.  Candidates for the ABCE Executive Board shall:  (1) be an active ABCE member in good standing, (2) be nominated in writing on an official form within the accepted timeline, and (3) sign the nomination form as a pledge for candidacy to the ABCE Executive Board.  Any member is eligible to be a delegate to convention. 

The ABCE President automatically is a delegate to the FEA-DA and the NEA-RA.

According to Article IV, Section 2 of the ABCE Bylaws, nominations for the 2012-2014 Executive Board, NEA-RA, and the State Delegate from MSSU for the NEA-RA will be reported to the Representative Council at the February meeting.  The following procedure will be used to nominate candidates:  (1) all written nominations must be received AT the ABCE meeting at the district media center by 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14, 2012.  (2)  Immediately following the acceptance of the minutes and the Treasurer’s report, the Elections Chairperson will report on all written nominations.  At that time, members of the Representative Council may make further nominations from the floor for all executive offices.  (3)  As soon as nominations are closed by the Representative Council, no further nominations will be accepted for any position.  (4)  Any person nominated from the floor and who is not present at the Representative Council meeting will receive a nomination form to fill out and return to the ABCE office by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2012.  Anyone not returning that form by the deadline will be considered to have refused nomination.

ALL ABCE MEMBERS SHALL RECEIVE A NOMINATION FORM FOR THE EXECUTIVE BOARD.
